Dedrone C-UAS technology to be integrated with Thales’ Bushmaster vehicle

Dedrone by Axon will integrate its counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology into Thales Australia’s Bushmaster, boosting on-the-move protection against drones.

The C-UAS system detects, tracks and neutralises small, medium and large hostile drones, and can be retro-fitted onto protected mobility vehicles (PMVs). Thales Australia has manufactured more than 1300 Bushmaster PMVs, with most being utilised by the Australian Defence Force. The Bushmaster is also in service with the armed forces of eight allied nations including the UK, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Ukraine.

Successful testing has been completed near Thales Australia’s Bendigo facility in simulated battlefield conditions replicating those seen in the current European conflict, effectively repelling drone attacks while in motion.
