Germany revises application process for operating licenses in the Specific Category

Germany’s Federal Aviation Office (LBA) has revised the application documents for drone operators and created separate forms for the application for a new operating license in the “Specific Category”, the application for a change to an existing operating license in the “Specific Category”, and the application for extension of an existing operating license in the “Specific Category”.

The new forms are intended to help streamline processes and contribute to optimised cooperation between industry and regulatory authorities.
