Volatus and Dufour team up for global Aero2 drone operations

Swiss drone manufacturer, Dufour Aerospace, has signed a strategic teaming agreement with aerospace intelligence specialist, Volatus Aerospace Inc. The partnership enables the worldwide deployment of Dufour’s Aero2 drone including in challenging and underserved areas, such as remote communities in Canada and Africa. 

The Aero2 drone recently completed its first flight with an in-house-developed hybrid-electric engine. The flight demonstrated the drone’s ability to transition from vertical takeoff to forward flight. 

Glen Lynch, CEO of Volatus Aerospace, said that the Aero2 would expand the company’s service offering and accelerate the commercialisation of its operations control center and remote operations.
