Aloft has released a new maintenance scheduling feature, intended particularly for enterprise-level operators pursuing Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waivers and preparing for forthcoming Part 108 regulations.
“The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires operators to demonstrate comprehensive maintenance protocols, including detailed schedules and logs, to ensure the safety and reliability of their drones,” Aloft states. “Looking ahead, the anticipated Part 108 regulations are likely to formalise and standardise these requirements for BVLOS operations, making scheduled maintenance an even more critical component of compliance.”
The new maintenance scheduling tool is designed to simplify and automate this aspect of drone operations. Users can plan ahead with recurring maintenance tasks for every aircraft in their fleet, receive automated reminders and maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and updates to provide full transparency for regulatory compliance and internal reviews.
