US space surveillance contract modification announced

The US Department of Defense has announced that Anduril Industries has been awarded a USD23,000,000 contract modification to a previously awarded contract (FA8823-21-C-0002) for the fielding of the company’s Lattice mesh network to additional space surveillance network sites. Lattice links ground-based sensors and space-based assets for better awareness of orbital threats.

This modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to USD33,586,934 from USD10,586,934. 

Work will be performed at Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Costa Mesa, California, and is expected to be completed by October 2, 2025. Fiscal 2024 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of USD23,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. 

The Space Systems Center Directorate of Contracting, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.
