Aloft granted FAA approval for B4UFLY services

Aloft Technologies, Inc has been granted US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval for B4UFLY services.

From 2019 to 2023, Aloft engaged in a public-private partnership with the FAA to rebuild the B4UFLY application. Over those five years, B4UFLY powered over 30 million airspace safety checks.

Aloft plans to continue developing its Air Aware product as a next generation B4UFLY platform by integrating new mapping features and introducing LAANC functionality. Aloft aims to make Air Aware its dedicated platform for individual drone pilots, with the company’s Air Control fleet and airspace management platform tailored for enterprise and government customers.

As Aloft becomes FAA-approved to provide B4UFLY services, the company is continuing its partnership with FAA Trust provider, the Pilot Institute, which serves as the title sponsor of the Air Aware application. This collaboration works to ensure that pilots have access to the educational resources and tools necessary for responsible drone operations.
