Aselsan develops new C-UAS system to counter mini and micro drones

Turkish defence manufacturer Aselsan has introduced new counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology at the Saha Expo 2024.

The KORKUT 25mm remote controlled weapon system is suitable for integration onto a range of tactical vehicles. It can counter mini and micro UAS threats, particularly in rural environments. Equipped with 25mm airburst ammunition, KORKUT 25 possesses both soft and hard kill capabilities against UAS, and uses data from external sensors such as radar and surveillance cameras. The system features a gyro stabilised structure, remote operability feature, high resolution day and night/infra-red cameras as well as a laser range finder, automated target detection and tracking function, and automatic ballistic calculation technology.

In addition, Aselsan’s BUKALEMUN GNSS spoofing system provides static and dynamic deception capabilities for extended distances within pre-defined scenarios, while the new KANGAL-FPV jammer has been developed as a counter-FPV electronic warfare system. Aselsan’s SEDA 100-cUAV acoustic detection system, integrated into the company’s İHTAR anti-drone system, detects UAS at long range.
