The second phase of the Drone-Based Door-Step Diagnostic Services (DBDS2) initiative, led by the Department of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh province in India, got underway at the end of July. The project aims to deliver healthcare services to the most remote areas. It is a continuation of the Medicine From the Sky pilot project.
On July 26, in the East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, the DBDS2 mission successfully delivered essential diagnostic supplies from District Hospital Seppa to PHC Bameng.
As the DBDS2 initiative develops, it will deliver critical medical supplies, such as medicines and vaccines, as well as transporting diagnostic samples to laboratories, reducing the time needed for diagnosis and improving patient outcomes.
