Smart Shooter “equips British Army with assault rifle C-UAS”

The British Army is procuring the Smash counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) technology from Smart Shooter, Janes reports

Smart Shooter, headquartered in Israel, confirmed that 500 Smash fire-control systems were ordered and have been entering service with 16 Air Assault Brigade over the last two months, with one system equipping each platoon. Smash is designed to be integrated into any type of assault rifle to ensure that each round finds its target, in both day and night operations, by using precision targeting algorithms and electro-optical processing.

Smash is capable of destroying low-altitude UAS at a range of 250 m in day mode and 100 m in night mode, and can also receive target information from an external sensor.
