DIWA approved for BVLOS flights in Australia

DIWA Pty Ltd has been approved by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia to operate remotely piloted aircraft beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).

The company says the approval allows it “to push forward with a groundbreaking new project”, for which no further details are currently available.

DIWA performs surveys, inspections and mapping services with fixed-wing and multi-rotor drones. The company also provides remote pilot outsourcing, and consultancy and training services. Clients include the Royal Australian Navy, the Ukrainian military, and Australia’s Defense Science & Technology Group.
