Computer vision technology system tested for use in C-UAS

GBT Technologies Inc has carried out tests using its Apollo computer vision technology for a Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) application. VisionWave Technologies, Inc., which acquired Apollo and which is partially owned by the company is working to adapt the Apollo computer vision technology system which combines radio frequency (RF) technology and artificial intelligence.

The C-UAS system uses RF technology and sophisticated neural networks to create accurate 3D images and video feeds. This enables operators to detect, identify and track potential drone threats in real-time. The system’s AI core is designed to quickly analyse data, detect hostile UAS, and make informed decisions to neutralise them.

The system is still under development and testing is continuing with a view to protecting critical infrastructure and assets from unauthorised drones. In order to successfully implement this concept, GBT Technologies says adequate capital will need to be raised to support VisionWave’s research. If successfully researched, developed and granted regulatory approval, VisionWave would then need to enter into a strategic relationship with a third party that has experience in manufacturing, selling and distributing this product.
