Europe’s EIT Urban Air Mobility accelerator offers start-ups/SMEs business development support

After two successful editions in 2022 and 2023, this European startup accelerator in Urban Air Mobility, part of the EIT Urban Mobility network, “is looking for six startups to offer a free six-month programme to help them identify and consolidate their product-market fit” according to the organisation. This year’s eligible themes are transport of medical products; security/safety/surveillance; and ground-enabling infrastructures.

Successful applicants among the start-up and small-to-medium-sized enterprise community will benefit from:

  • Workshops and webinars on topics such as business strategy, European drone regulations and social acceptability (according to the needs of the startups)
  • Contacts with key players in the European UAM ecosystem
  • A free six-month premium subscription to GrowthLab, a platform that gives access to funding calls, connections with cities, corporates, and investors, as well as valuable advice from experts access to accelerator calls, connections with cities, corporates, and investors, as well as valuable advice from experts
  • A proposal to register the start-up on the Mobility Innovation Marketplace
  • Recommendations for investments to Impact Ventures (EIT UM’s Venture Capital fund)
  • promotional activities within the EIT UM network and at major events (e.g. Mobility World Congress)
  • a network of European living labs to test and promote their solutions
  • EUR2,500 to selected startups to cover travel and other expenses
