Advanced Protection Systems (APS), which designs and produces radars and counter-drone systems, has begun a strategic cooperation with the national research center of Saudi Arabia – Prince Sultan Defense Studies & Research Center (PSDSARC).
Polish tech news provider Mikro Kontroler shared press material from ADS that said PSDSARC is developing its own radar technology programme and plans to create a national protective shield against military drones and small unmanned ships.
APS’ counter-drone system has been designed to track several targets at the same time. Using machine learning algorithms, it can also classify and distinguish detected objects. The system reports the position of objects in real time and, once recognised, enables their neutralization by jamming or physical elimination. The systems are produced in stationary and mobile versions. Active applications include protecting civil and military targets in Ukraine.
