ADW Evolves to a Global Drone and Air Mobility Conference where decision-makers from authorities, (local) governments, companies, and knowledge institutes will engage in discussions on the essential components needed to construct a global regulatory framework for scalable drone and air mobility services, both in the present and the future. ADW offers a full three-day conference programme, where on the inaugural day the Global Drone and Air Mobility Conference will emphasize the significance of leveraging Air Mobility and drone services to enhance the well-being of citizens and promote environmental benefits. The conference will provide an insightful exploration of global operations, viewed through the perspectives of international entities and key global stakeholders.
Global collaboration is essential in implementing unmanned aircraft systems to enable the provision of Drone and Air Mobility services. A variety of keynotes, Q&A sessions, panel discussions, and presentations will dive deeply into the collaborative efforts necessary to establish these frameworks. The conference is a prestigious event organised in collaboration with partners such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and supported by the Federal Aviation Administration United States Department of Transportation (FAA).
Programme highlights
The week’s agenda is structured around five thematic pillars:
Global Air Mobility Conference
On the first day of ADW, the Global Air Mobility Conference will emphasize the significance of leveraging Air Mobility and drone services for the benefit of citizens and environmental advantages. It will examine global operations through the lens of international entities and global stakeholders. Global collaboration is essential in implementing unmanned aircraft systems to enable the provision of Air Mobility services.
Keynote speakers Global Air Mobility Conference
With great pleasure and honour, we are pleased to announce that Ms. Merkle, Director of the Air Navigation Bureau at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), will join the opening ceremony of Amsterdam Drone Week 2024, and will lead the panel that will introduce the Global Air Mobility Conference 2024.
Frédéric Malaud, Chief of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Section at ICAO will join the first panels of the Global Air Mobility Conference 2024, reflecting the benefits and needs of using drones for UN-related mission and he will share his thoughts on how to collaborate internationally on building a global regulatory framework for digital aviation services.
EU U-space stakeholder meeting
Building on the previous editions, Eurocontrol the EU U-space stakeholder meeting in tandem with the European Commission and Sesar-ju, creating an unparalleled opportunity for collaboration on the second day. Numerous U-space-related projects are emerging across Europe. Their ambitions are very diverse, ranging from focussed technology demonstrators up to full-fledged deployments supporting pioneer commercial services. Urban Air Mobility is the most challenging use case, where drones will provide on-demand transport of passengers and cargo deliveries in urban environment in high volume and with high complexity. This dynamic environment is constantly pushing the limits of technology and operations towards the maturity levels required for business applications.
Dutch Drone Day
To wrap up the program, delve into the fascinating world of the Dutch Drone Industry on ADW’s final day. Uncover the latest and greatest from Dutch initiatives and projects, gaining valuable insights into the groundbreaking developments currently underway.
Air Mobility Stage
Cities and regions play a pivotal role in the evolution of air mobility services. As urbanization grows, the need for efficient and sustainable transportation solutions becomes increasingly evident. Air mobility offers the potential to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce commuting times, and connect remote regions to economic opportunities. It also holds promise in providing swift emergency response and enhancing security services. The Amsterdam Drone Week 2024 programme recognizes the critical importance of cities and regions in shaping the future of air mobility, with a focus on urban planning, sustainable transportation, and the integration of drones into the fabric of our daily lives.
ADW proudly upholds its support from the founding partners including Boeing, Airbus, Groupe ADP, City of Amsterdam, KPN, CANSO, GSMA, GUTMA, and CIVITAS/UIC2.
